NOTR - The Decline of Western Civilization - 5.10.17

Today's Show: THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION - 5.10.2017

Chris continues his discussion of Romans chapter one and the progressive decline of Western Civilization.  With the victory of the globalists in France, will that country be the first to fall into the hands of Islam?  And how could so many people seem to be so blind?  Paul's epistle reminds us of the importance of being bold for the cause of the truth and to be unashamed of the Gospel of Christ, especially in this age of ecumenical compromise, where it is commonly taught that there are "many" paths to God.  The beginning of Romans explains what happens to society when men change the truth of God into a lie.  Is this what's really behind the decline of the West?

NOTR - America & Romans Chapter One - 5.9.17

Today's Show: AMERICA & ROMANS CHAPTER ONE - 5.9.2017

Chris discusses the teaching of the Apostle Paul in the first chapter of Romans, and how this relates to the condition of America today.  The opening chapter of Romans details the decline of the Gentile world that had once known God, but then exchanged the truth of God for a lie.  Their stubborn betrayal of the Creator ultimately caused them to be given over to increasing levels of depravity and ruin.  Is the United States facing the systematic decline described by Paul in this epistle?  Is the Western world currently falling into the trap that has corrupted civilization since ancient times?

NOTR - Pence, Islam & The Salt of the Earth - 5.2.17

Today's Show: PENCE, ISLAM & THE SALT OF THE EARTH - 5.2.2017

Chris discusses a new story about Vice President Mike Pence who traveled to Indonesia (the country with the largest Muslim population in the world).  While there, Pence said that Indonesia's tradition of "moderate Islam" was "an inspiration to the world."   But does such a statement stand against careful scrutiny?  Jihad Watch reports on many cases of Islamic extremism in the country, where Christians are often persecuted and people are harassed, stabbed, beaten and killed for violating Sharia law.  Why would Pence (on behalf of the Trump administration) make such a statement?   Also discussed is Matthew chapter five and the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus declares that His followers are to be the "salt of the earth," and warns that if the salt loses its savor, it is cast aside and "trodden under foot of men."  What could this mean for America and the entire Western world?

NOTR - Globalism & The Anti-Christian Agenda - 4.28.17

Today's Show: GLOBALISM & THE ANTI-CHRISTIAN AGENDA

Chris discusses an article from Frontline Fellowship describing the history of the Church in Western Europe from the time of the Great Reformation into the modern era.  Incredibly, at the beginning of the twentieth century the Protestant missionaries believed they might very well complete the Great Commission in their generation.  Yet by the end of that century, the Christian world had been turned upside down by Communism, Socialism and secular humanism.   Also discussed are comments from some of our listeners with responses to a question about the Jesuit Reductions of Paraguay, along with a concern over a theory about the Codex Vaticanus.

NOTR - Update on Codex Sinaiticus Debate - 4.27.17

Today's Show: UPDATE ON CODEX SINAITICUS DEBATE

Chris discusses some of the new information surrounding the Codex Sinaiticus with a growing number of researchers and authors publishing important details.  In particular, a new book by Dr. David Sorenson covers elements of the last 12 verses of Mark that are often called into question because they are not found in the "most ancient and reliable manuscripts, the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus."  Yet critical details about the paleographical analysis of those texts is typically omitted from the average study Bible, preventing Christians from drawing a more educated conclusion.  A powerful quote has surfaced from 19th century scholar, Dr. James Harris that sheds light on the issue.

NOTR - Pope, Islamic Criticism & The Armenian Genocide - 4.24.17

Today's Show: POPE, ISLAMIC CRITICISM & THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

Chris discusses a series of news topics, from recent comments made by Pope Francis who referred to refugee camps as "concentration camps," to the discovery of new information that has surfaced about the Armenian Genocide of 1915, from a leading Turkish-American scholar on the subject.  Also discussed is a recent headline that denies the crucifixion of Christ, based on an allegedly "ancient manuscript" called The Gospel of Barnabas that was discovered in the year 2000.  Having reportedly come from Turkey, the so-called gospel reports that Jesus did not actually die on the cross, but rather it was Judas -- a common claim among Islamic scholars.  But could the manuscript have been the work of ancient Gnostic heretics?
