Today's Show: IN THE NEWS

Chris discusses several news stories dealing with the latest Jihad attacks in Florida and in Israel.  Also a new report from the Gatestone Institute suggests that Western countries are being conditioned to retreat in the face of Islamic aggression.  Also discussed is the United Nations Security Council gathering that is predicted to establish a Palestinian State on January 15th -- just five days before President Elect Trump's inauguration on January 20th.  Are globalist powers working to accomplish their aims before Trump smashes their ambitions?

Great show, Chris! I visited a Coptic Church a couple years ago. My wife's co-worker went there and they were having an open house. They gave us a tour and it definitely had a Catholic flavor (I was raised Catholic, even considered becoming a priest). They had sacraments in place but my impression was that they didn't take them as strictly as Roman Catholicism. Their faith did seem more genuine than that of most Catholics I knew growing up, but that's all just based on one quick tour...

And just a quick note on the woman at the well, the key was that she was a Samaritan. My understanding is that while most Jews believed the entire Tanakh (Old Testament) was from God, the Samaritans believe only the Torah (the first five books) were from God. So when God would say things like, "you shall worship me in the place I choose," the place wasn't established as Jerusalem in the Torah but later on in the Tanakh. As I recall this is related to when one of the kings after the northern/southern split of Israel set up a different temple to worship at than the one in Jerusalem, and God said it was an evil thing.
So that's why the Samritans are looked down upon in the New Testament, as evidenced in John 4:9:
Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
And that's the background to the woman's question in John 4:19:
The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”

Keep up the great work, Chris!

Would be careful saying that we should be helping God out with his prophecies - that did not turn out to well for Abraham and Sarah trying to create that promised child - you are talking about that mistake several thousand years after the fact on this very radio show.
