BARTON'S NEW BOOK ON THOMAS JEFFERSON
David Barton's new release, The Jefferson Lies, is set to hit bookstore in the near future. According to Barton in a recent newsletter, "The need for this book was recently made evident by an atheist group's California billboard allegedly quoting Jefferson condemning Christianity."
We have posted an ebook of the original book by Dr. Ashbel Green titled The Christian Advocate, written in 1830. Green knew the Founders better than most since his position was the Congressional Chaplain. In his book, he openly dispels any evidence of Jefferson being a Christian. We've created a link for you here.
Read this original source and decide for yourself.

The Christian Advocate that is linked has several articles and reviews. The article about Jefferson is called, "Jefferson's Papers" and is broken into 5 different parts in the publication. It took me awhile to figure that out. I went thru and printed out just the pages that were reviewing Jefferson's Papers, instead of printing out the entire 687 page publication.
The pages that contain the article, "Jefferson's Papers" are as follows:
Page 78-83; 135-142; 194-199; 246-251; 305-310
Hope that saves others time, paper and ink/toner : )
how do you print out portions of the Christian Advocate????
Oh, I didn't notice Noise Of Thunder's link above doesn't have a download button.
I downloaded it from google books:
http://books.google.com/books?id=w_wQAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false
The little "widget" icon on the top right has a drop-down menu with a Download PDF option. After downloading the file, I was able to print it with Adobe Reader.
Whenever I hear of an old, vintage book, I look up the title on Internet Archive to see if there is a copy to download. What's nice is that searching on Internet Archive includes the books available on gutenberg.org and google books--so I can do one search instead of 3. Here's the link:

That's where I originally found the links to The Christian Advocate. There are several volumes, so be careful to find Volume 8.
Brenda, I noticed you can't print from the link posted above. I had downloaded a pdf of it from internet archive. There are several volumes of the Christian Advocate, so make sure you download the 1830, Volume 8 edition.
