NOTR - THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE & CONCORD BRIDGE - 4.26.19

Today's Show: THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE & CONCORD BRIDGE - 4.26.2019

Chris discusses the anniversaries of two historic events that were remembered this past week — the Armenian Genocide (remembered on April 24th), and the battles of Lexington and Concord (April 19).  We find it remarkable that these two events should be remembered so close together.  The mass murder of Armenian Christians during World War I was preceded by their people being disarmed before they were tragically slaughtered.  As such, we consider the wisdom of our colonial forefathers who refused to surrender their arms to the Redcoats in 1775, but instead fired “the shot heard round the world,” the echo of which continues to this day.  Also discussed is a declaration from a youth organization in Turkey (whose members include the son of Turkish President Erdogan) which has said that the Islamic call to prayer symbolizes a renewal of their desire to conquer Rome, New York, Paris and Vienna.

NOTR - THE BURNING OF NOTRE DAME - 4.17.19

Today's Show: THE BURNING OF NOTRE DAME - 4.17.2019

Chris discusses the burning of the Notre Dame Cathedral in France — one of the most famous Catholic Churches in the world, the setting for the story of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and many dramatic moments in French history.  Some have speculated that the fires might have been set by Islamic jihadis, who have already vandalized hundreds of churches across France.  But a curious detail has emerged: just days before the fires began, the statues of the Apostles were carefully removed, an event that some are calling divine intervention, yet others have regarded it with suspicion.  We consider that the Pope has been calling for unification between Catholics and Muslims, and that the concept of “Chrislam” has been promoted for years.  Money has since been pouring in to pay for the restoration, but when France repairs the famous Cathedral, will it be decorated with both Catholic and Islamic symbols?

NOTR - JESUITS, REPARATIONS & FABIAN WARFARE - 4.16.19

Today's Show: JESUITS, REPARATIONS & FABIAN WARFARE - 4.16.2019

Chris discusses a new story about the students of Georgetown University (the Jesuit headquarters in the United States) have now voted to pay reparations for slavery.  Could this be the beginning of a larger movement to demand reparations from the rest of the country?  But why should America pay reparations, when all the nations of the earth practiced slavery?  Furthermore, it was America (along with Great Britain) who put an end to the slave trade in the West, while parts of Africa and the Middle East continue the practice to this day.  Also discussed is the history of Fabian warfare, dating back to Ancient Rome.  It is said that the Marxists in America use the methods of Fabian tactics in their quest to take control of our country.  How do we recognize them?

NOTR - POPE CALLS FOR CATHOLIC/MUSLIM UNITY - 4.14.19

Today's Show: POPE CALLS FOR CATHOLIC/MUSLIM UNITY - 4.14.2019

Pope Francis recently spoke to a large audience of Catholics in Rome where he urged “solidarity” with Muslims, calling them “brothers and sisters” who believe in the same God of Abraham.  But does Islam truly believe in the same God of Abraham that we find throughout the New Testament?  Strangely, the Pope seems to think little of the fact that Muslims openly deny that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  Also discussed is an update on U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar who has been featured on the cover of Newsweek magazine, where she is said to be “Changing the conversation on Israel.”

NOTR - KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD & THE TURKISH WOE - 4.5.19

Today's Show: KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD & THE TURKISH WOE - 4.5.2019

Chris discusses Revelation chapters 11 and 12 in light of the declaration that “the kingdoms of this world” are destined to become “the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ” who shall reign forever and ever.  But when will this be?  The declaration of Christ’s authority over the Earth is made in Matthew 28:18.  Meanwhile there are declarations of His authority over the kingdoms of the world in Revelation chapters 11 & 12.  But the Second Coming of Christ does not occur until we arrive at Revelation chapter 19.  What does this tell us about what it means to “occupy” until the Lord returns?  Also discussed is the concept of the “Turkish woe” as taught by our Reformed forefathers, who believed that the rise of Islam was foretold in the pages of prophecy.

NOTR - MATTHEW TEN THIRTY FOUR - 4.1.19

Today's Show: MATTHEW TEN THIRTY FOUR - 4.1.2019

Chris discusses Matthew 10:34 in light of current events.  A new story about Representative Stephanie Borowicz who gave a prayer of invocation at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, in which she went out of her way to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ again and again.  At one point, she declared that “At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow,” which has caused Democrats and at least one Muslim lawmaker to take offense.  Movita Johnson-Harrell (the first Muslim woman elected to the General Assembly) said the prayer was “highly offensive to me, my guests, and other members of the House.”  Critics of the prayer argue that it was somehow contrary to the principles of Christianity as if a true “Christian” prayer would not make anyone upset.  But is that really what Jesus taught?
