As day follows night, so it appears that in the wake of most any widely promoted Marxist ideology will almost always come the Jesuits — who have been promoting every left-wing doctrine from homosexual “marriage” to the repeal of the Second Amendment. Now the Superior General of the Jesuits (Arturo Sosa) has proclaimed open borders philosophy by declaring that: “Those who live in a given territory have no right to turn away migrants …” He went on to say that the citizens of any given country “…have no absolute right to that territory. They do not own it; the goods of the land are for everyone.” Yet what do the Scriptures say? An examination of the Word of God reveals that private property ownership, both personal and national, is acknowledged since ancient times.

Chris discusses the Marxist infiltration of our education system with its particular focus on American history, as professors and so-called historians have systematically rewritten the history of the United States.  Perhaps the most notorious of them was Howard Zinn, who’s “People’s History of the United States” has been the favorite of those on the left for many years.  But was Zinn himself really working for the Communist party?  FBI records strongly suggest that he was, and supports the belief (asserted by the Reece Committee of the 1950’s) that Marxist groups infiltrated our American education system early in the twentieth century.

Chris discusses the apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthian church where he tells them, “Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world?”  How is this passage to be understood?  Interestingly, the apostle applies it to both present and future events.  We examine the prophecies concerning the end times, but according to the understanding of earlier generations of Bible teachers, prior to the 20th century.  Before global ecumenism (the idea that all religions are one and the same) took hold in the Western world, our Christian forefathers held to a radically different worldview.  How did they understand the purpose of the churches during this time upon the earth?

Chris discusses the recent controversy surrounding the apostasy of Joshua Harris (author of the book, “I Kissed Dating Goodbye”), who not only announced that he and his wife were getting a divorce, but then went on to speak in support of the LGBT community.  Harris went so far as to offer an apology to the homosexual community, apparently because he, at one time, taught a Biblical worldview.  But does any Christian owe an apology to the gay community?  At this point, Harris has declared that he is no longer a Christian.  We discuss these things in light of the Scriptures, in particular, the warning of the Apostle Paul who spoke of how in the “latter times” there would be those who would depart from the faith and give heed to “seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”  (1 Timothy 4:1) Could this be why Harris is now seen going out of his way to promote the gay pride movement?

Chris discusses a new development at the Jesuit’s publication, known as America: The Jesuit Review.  After decades of supposedly opposing Communism, the publication has now finally published an article in support of it.  This is not a terribly great surprise for those who know the history of the order, since it was a Jesuit (Luigi Taparelli) who developed the term “social justice” back in 1843.  Later, it was the Jesuit General Peter Jan Beckx, who reportedly worked with Karl Marx later in the 19th century (according to German Chancellor, Otto von Bismarck).  On the one hand, America Magazine claims that they have opposed Marxism since the McCarthy era, so now why do they suddenly promote it?  Are the powers on the left preparing for a greater push towards Socialism with the upcoming election?

Today's Show: JEZEBEL, NABOTH & AMERICA - 7.23.2019

Chris discusses the story of a man named Naboth in the Old Testament who owned a certain vineyard.   His vineyard was desired by the king, Ahab — yet Naboth refused to sell it.  In response, the queen, Jezebel determined that she would obtain the property for her husband, by falsely accusing Naboth and having him put to death for a crime he did not commit.  Once the murder is accomplished, Ahab goes to take possession of the land, but God sends a prophet to pronounce judgment on the king and queen for their crimes.  The whole episode demonstrates the extreme abuse of power by corrupt government officials, who are later both put to death.  But are there parallels in what we find happening in America today?  Is our national identity being subjected to a series of false accusations towards the intention of plundering our entire country?
